Humber Street Gallery is the new contemporary Art Gallery, part of HULL 2017 UK City of culture legacy projects. Our brief was to design a lighting scheme that complimented the industrial feel of the gallery within a modern context. Working closely with David Sinclair we believe our attention to detail and the lighting we have been able to supply has greatly enhanced this stunning new addition to the art world in Hull and surrounding region”.

David Sinclair, Curator of Humber Street Gallery, added: “Lighting plays a vital role in guiding visitors through their gallery experience, altering the mood of the exhibition space and drawing the eye to stunning artwork and sculptures. UK LED Lighting has done a great job – we are delighted with the look and feel of the gallery.”

We supplied our Smooth Powerline 35 Linear LED profile throughout in 5000k CCT suspended in various formats and our LED 1200 X 600 LED panels also in 5000k CCT with trims also suspended. Control of the Light was also of great im[portance and 1-10volt Dimming drivers and rotary dimmers were supplied giving the gallery team full and easy control. In the main bar area ground floor we used our RGBW QZR Linear wall wash to light “Dead Bod” and used ALU Round Linear Profile to create a centerpiece linear Chandelier. Finally the outer facade of the Gallery is also lit by QZR RGBW Linear wall wash giving the building a wash of colour to suit any preference.
